Great value for money, excellent customer satisfaction, easy to assemble and very stable
Wide grip stance may not be usable on many wide door frames, due to lack of hand/arm space against door frame.
The most popular doorway pull up bar, the wide grips may not be usable as it's too close to the door frame but it's a great cheaply priced doorway bar with many thousands of satisfied customers
The Iron Gym Total Bar uses a door frame leverage design so there is no need to screw anything into the door frame or walls. It comes with a small metal clip which pushes behind the door frame trim at the top to help stop it falling off during use.
As one of the smallest of the door frame leverage bars; measuring in at 13” x 36.6” x 11” (33cm x 91.4cm X 28cm) the Iron Gym is ideal for concealed storage in a cupboard or under bed, whip out for a quick work out then tuck out of way again when finished. As with all door frame leverage bars these should not be left in place when not being used as they will get knocked off inadvertently closing the door.
It fits most standard size door ways for both Pull Ups and Chin ups and has 3 grip positions for narrow grip, wide grip and neutral grip so you can work your arms, inner and outer back. Depending on the size of your doorway the wide grips may not be usable as this may be resting against the door frame, if you’re concerned about this go for the Big Brother Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar - Extreme Edition instead.
The bar can be used on the floor for pushups and supposedly dips, however you won’t get much of a dip distance. The steel frame is quick and easy to put together and once assembled (5 minute job) is very sturdy and quick to hang on the door or take back down again. It has a weight limit of 300 lbs and will fit standard size doorways of 24" - 32" (61cm – 81cm) with door frame molding of 1” (2.5cm) deep.
