Very cheaply priced comfortable shoe, which allows you to pivot and glide while not slipping
Doesn’t provide much extra underfoot cushioning and not the best for flexibility
Great comfortable, lightweight, budget range Zumba shoe with good support but not much flexibility or extra cushioning
The Ryka Studio D is an extremely popular Zumba shoe, this may partly be due to its cheaper price tag; this is the cheapest of all shoes featured here.
It is specifically designed for high-impact gym workouts, such as aerobics or dance. The upper part of the shoe features a synthetic mesh helping to keep it lightweight and breathable.
Within the Studio D there’s a comfortable sock liner and a lightly padded collar for comfort, the tongue also has soft foam padding to keep this soft on the top of your feet.
The Ryka Studio D is not as flexible or the rubber sole as cushioned as some of the other Zumba sneakers but the circular pivots spots are great for twisting and gliding during class and they won’t slip when you jump or lunge. The full length solid sole also offers more arch support than some of the split soled Zumba sneakers.
They come in two different color designs or either black or light gray and white with the dark gray flash.
They come in half sizes but as with many of the dance shoes tend to run a bit small, so you’re best off going for a ½ size larger than normal.
If you want a lightweight, comfortable budget range Zumba shoe with great support but don’t need much extra cushioning the Studio D is a great buy.
