Very well priced for this type of bar this is a great choice if you’re looking for a strong reliable reasonably priced bar that mounts on either the ceiling or wall with plenty of room for kipping or suspension training
Ultimate Body Press Wall or Ceiling Mounted Pull Up Bar, as the name suggests can be mounted to either your wall or ceiling. It can be used for ring dips, TRX suspension training as well as CrossFit kipping pull-ups, making it ideal for.
The bar is has a width of 50 inches (extending 1 inch either side of the mounts) allows you a nice wide grip to work your lower back muscles. The bar supports user weight up to 350lbs when hung from wall and 450 lbs when hung from the ceiling. The 24-inch long mounting brackets provide for plenty of room for all types of pull up variations, and its 1-inch diameter steel pull up is a textured knurled steel grip for added comfort and secured grip.
It’s simple yet effective ideal to fasten to the stud walls or ceiling in your home, garage, or fitness studio. As the mounting are spaced 48 inches apart from center to center, the bar can be mounted to either studs or joists of either 16 or 24 inch gaps. For ceiling installation, a nut driver is very handy. Sadly there is also no template for drilling, so you may want to make your own with cardboard, as the bar can be awkward to try to hold in place above your head while you mark the holes.
The center of the horizontal bar is about 22 inches away from the wall / ceiling when mounted, winding up to around 21 ½ inches from the inside of the pull-up bar and 22 ½ from the outside. The bar is set in the middle of the braces and cannot be adjusted.
While installation may require improvisation of your own drilling template this was the only downside we could find with this bar – very highly recommend.
